RETAILER REGISTRATION

The Couture show is for ACTIVE JEWELRY BUYERS ONLY.  This is a TRADE event and is NOT open to the public.  Retailer registration is complimentary. If you have attended Couture in the last two years, then you may already be pre-qualified.  If you are a retailer of finished fine jewelry and are NEW to the Couture Show, you will be required to APPLY for admission to Couture.

In order to qualify you must be a buyer from an active Retailer of finished jewelry.  Non-exhibiting Manufacturers, Designers, Wholesalers, Loose Stone Dealers or those operating out of their home will not be admitted to the show.  Your firm must be an active Retailer of finished jewelry, not loose stones.  We reserve the right to request additional business identification if deemed necessary.  The following documentation is required in order to qualify as a Couture retailer.

COMPANY QUALIFICATION CREDENTIALS:

    1.    To qualify the company you must prove you are a RETAIL member of one (1) of the following:
    •    Jewelers Board of Trade - Listing in JBT as a Retailer of finished jewelry.
    •    Jewelers of America – be a member of JA as a retailer of finished jewelry.
    •    American Gem Society – be a retail member of AGS.

    Or, if you are not a member of the above industry associations you can provide the following.

    2.    To qualify the company, you must provide (2) TWO of the following documents.  One of the documents MUST BE INVOICES OF FINISHED JEWELRY:
    •    Invoices – Three invoices showing purchase of finished fine jewelry in multiple quantities within last twelve months. Non-Traditional Jewelry retailers (such as a clothing boutique or gallery) must submit fine jewelry invoices with total of $10,000 or more.
    •    Business License indicating that you are a retail business (NOT a seller’s permit or Tax ID)
    •    First 2 pages of Store lease or photograph of inside and outside of the store including store name signage.
    •    New business only - Letter of Intent from an attorney, or bank on official letterhead stating the intent to start a new retail business
    •    On-line Jewelry Retailer ONLY- Active Web Site address through which Company Business can be validated
    •    Mail Order Companies must provide catalog

    ADMISSION NOT GRANTED TO:
    •    Individuals under the age of 16, including infants
    •    Individuals operating businesses from home
    •    General Public/Non-trade Guests/Retail Buyer Guests
    •    Manufacturers, designers, suppliers, loose stone dealers

    Couture reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone not adhering to the above qualifications. The qualification information above is for retailers only. Press and exhibitor registration follow a different set of policies and procedures.

    CORNERSTONE RETAILER REGISTRATION

    Official Couture Cornerstone Retailers will be notified of their 2012 status in the fall of 2011.     EXHIBITOR/SPONSOR REGISTRATION

    Official Couture Exhibitors and Sponsors may register their staff online. For more information, click here. Allocations are specified in all Couture 2012 contract agreements with exhibitor and/or sponsor.

    NON-BUYER REGISTRATION

    Couture is open to pre-approved non-retailer attendees including but not limited to: magazine representatives (non-editorial) or other industry associations who would like to participate. Non-buyer registrations are available for $1675 for the full show (registration badge includes lunch daily and access to Couture events and lounges) or $360 per day (purchase of one day badge includes lunch and show access only at cost). All non-buyers must be approved before gaining access to the Couture registration system.

    If you are a consultant or work for a PR company or Advertising agency and are interested in attending the show, please email your company information to couture@nielsen.com.  You will be notified within one week if you are approved to register.  Registration fees of $360 per day/ $1675 for the show (per person) will apply.
