John Hardy debuts silver line for QVC


New York--John Hardy has created an exclusive collection for QVC called Jai, which offers pieces made in sterling silver with 14-karat gold accents and semi-precious gemstones and pearls, ranging from $50 to $500.

Jai means “heart” in Thai and “goodness” in Hindi. The line is curated by stylist and longtime John Hardy collaborator Scott Grimes. Rings, cuffs, bracelets and earrings are included in the collection, among other pieces.

Hardy joins the growing number of designers who now sell their jewelry on a home shopping network. Erica Courtney, Jane Taylor and Kendra Bridel are among the designers who have deals with one of the networks, with Taylor and Bridel’s lines launching within the past year.

QVC posted a 5 percent sales increase in its most recent financial report for the first quarter, as well as a 2 percent rise in total revenue. The multi-channel retailer ranks No. 6 on National Jeweler’s 2012 list of $100 Million SuperSellers.
