New York--The Couture show now is accepting entries for its Design Awards, the annual competition created to show off the technique and creativity of its exhibiting brands.
The deadline for submission is Tuesday, April 14. The entry form can be found here.
The categories for this year’s contest are: Bridal, Colored Gemstones Below $20K (retail), Colored Gemstones Above $20K (retail), Diamonds Below $20K (retail), Diamonds Above $20K (retail), Gold, Pearls, Platinum, Silver, Innovative and Haute Couture.
Brands that have never exhibited at the show before also can enter the Debuting at Couture category in addition to one of the aforementioned categories.
The Innovative and Haute Couture categories were added to the contest just last year to honor jewelry that breaks new ground or is distinctly extravagant.
Each exhibitor may enter only one piece, and the category must be selected upon entry. Submissions will be judged by a panel of editors, retailers and non-competing Couture designers, who will evaluate the pieces on various criteria including craftsmanship, originality and materials used.
Rules and submission criteria can be found on the Couture website.
The winners will be announced at the Couture Design Awards event on Saturday, May 30.
