Jewelers of America Is Accepting CASE Award Entries
The People’s Choice Award will return for a second year.
New York--Jewelers of America is now accepting entries for the 2018 CASE Awards.
The annual competition invites retail jewelers who are JA members to enter original jewelry designs that showcase their creativity and artistry.
Jewelers can submit entry forms for the contest through Feb. 16.
A panel of industry judges will grade designs on their overall aesthetic, marketability, wearability and the quality of their manufacturing.
First-place winners in each category will win $500, a customized trophy from Jewelers of America, national trade and consumer media exposure, and will have their winning piece on display at the JA New York Spring show, scheduled for March 11 to 13.
There are five total categories in the competition: jewelry that is valued at up to $2,000 retail; jewelry valued between $2,001 and $5,000 retail; jewelry valued between $5,001 and $10,000 retail; and jewelry worth over $10,000 retail.
The fifth category, the People’s Choice Award, was added to the program last year. It allows consumers to vote online for their favorite piece. This year, voting will take place March 5 to 9 on Jewelers.org.
“The CASE Awards shine a spotlight on the talented jewelry designers and bench jewelers of JA member retail stores across the country,” said Jewelers of America President and CEO David J. Bonaparte. “We are proud to recognize their creativity and excellent craftsmanship through our CASE Awards competition.”
For full submission details visit the Jewelers of America website or call JA’s member services at 800- 223-0673.
