‘Tremendous Trio’ to lead Sotheby’s April sale
Two necklaces that offer diamonds and gemstones in “phenomenal proportions” will join a historical jadeite necklace at Sotheby’s April 7 jewelry auction in Hong Kong.
“The Tremendous Trio,” as Sotheby’s is calling it, is led by the storied Hutton-Mdivani necklace, which features 27 jadeite beads ranging in size from 15.40 to 19.20 millimeters and a clasp by Cartier. The piece has a pre-sale high estimate of $12.8 million.
