This Belle Étoile bangle from the new Sea Turtle collection is made of rhodium-plated .925 sterling silver with Italian hand-painted enamel and white, lab-created stones. It retails for $525 or $575, depending on size.
Emeryville, Calif.--Just in time for Earth Day this Saturday, Belle Étoile has announced a partnership with Florida-based nonprofit Sea Turtle Conservancy.

The silver jewelry brand has created a range of sterling silver pieces inspired by the endangered species, decorated with underwater scenes featuring swimming sea turtles, all hand-painted with Italian enamel.

“Turtles have been longstanding symbols of wisdom, fertility, good health and life. This underwater paradise reminds us of the preciousness of these spiritual creatures and how imperative it is for us to care for them and their habitats,” said Belle Étoile Executive Vice President Carolyn Thamkul.

She continued, “We are extremely excited to partner with the Sea Turtle Conservancy. At Belle Étoile, we are constantly inspired by the magnificence of nature and are committed to helping preserve this beauty for generations to come.”

Headquartered in Florida, the Sea Turtle Conservancy aids sea turtles all over the world, through scientific research, education, advocacy and protection of natural habitats.

The nonprofit organization has been in existence since 1959, and says it is the oldest sea turtle research and conservation program.

The Belle Étoile sea turtle collection is being sold on the Sea Turtle Conservancy’s website. If purchased there, all profits will go to the conservancy.

Belle Étoile is also offering the collection through their retailers, and told National Jeweler that it will make a donation to the conservancy based upon those sales.

The Belle Étoile Sea Turtle collection retails between $225 and $575.
