WJA announces date for ‘Jewelry Night Out’

August 18, 2014

New York--The WJA will host its second annual “Jewelry Night Out” event next month, inviting designers, retailers and editors to network in cities across the country as well as in Hong Kong.

This year’s JNO is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18 and will take place in 15 cities across the nation: Birmingham, Ala.; Boca Raton, Fla.; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Fort Mitchell, Kan.; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; New York; Providence, R.I.; San Diego; San Francisco; Seattle; and the Washington, D.C. metro area.

In addition, the WJA will host a JNO in Hong Kong during the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, which is scheduled for Sept. 15 to 21.

“JNO was designed as a special evening for current and prospective members to join together in doing what WJA does best: celebrate, unite and network,” said WJA President Andrea Hansen. “The Hong Kong event marks the international spread of JNO. We will raise awareness of WJA’s mission and mobilize many of our international members based there to form a new international WJA chapter.”

At the WJA JNO events, attendees can apply for or renew their WJA membership for a one-time price of $99, down from the regular $160 membership/$135 renewal fee. This prices are available exclusively by attending JNO events in one of the aforementioned cities on Sept 18.

Registration for the WJA JNO events can be found here, and participants are invited to share images of the night on social media using the hashtag #WJANightOut.

“Membership brings you closer to your peers and gives you and instant network of professionals, internationally, to help you grow and thrive in our industry,” said Cindy Edelstein, vice president of membership development at WJA.
