AGTA’s Graham to head Erica Courtney Inc.
Los Angeles--Designer Erica Courtney announced Tuesday that she has hired Adam Graham, the marketing manager for the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), as CEO of Erica Courtney Inc.
Previously, Courtney served as both president and CEO. Graham will be the first outside CEO for the Los Angeles-based jewelry company.
Moving forward, Courtney will retain the title of president. In a statement, she said that Graham’s hiring will give her more time to do what she loves: design jewelry and work with clients. “I am very excited about Adam joining the company. His knowledge of, and passion for, fine designer jewelry will be a key part of our continuing growth,” Courtney said.
Prior to his time at the Dallas-based AGTA, Graham held management positions at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Rapaport Group and the American Gem Society.
He begins with Erica Courtney Inc. on Jan. 21. He will remain with the AGTA through Jan. 18 and also will be in Tucson to help the organization with the GemFair, scheduled for Feb. 5 to 10.
Erica Courtney jewelry is sold at the company’s flagship boutique on Beverly Boulevard in L.A., as well as in fine jewelry stores in the United States and overseas. Celebrity fans include Madonna, actresses Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon and actor Johnny Depp.
