Jeweler donating Lego watches to children’s charity
December 16, 2013
Albany, N.Y.--Northeastern Fine Jewelry is paying it forward this year when it comes to holiday shopping: for every Lego watch purchased at the store’s Albany and Schenectady locations, the retailer will donate another Lego watch to the Boys & Girls Club.
The buy-one, give-one Lego watch program will continue until Dec. 21.
Lego watches are designed with young children in mind, Northeastern Fine Jewelry said, and are crafted to aid children in learning to tell time from an analog clock.
The watches are colorful, feature a simple buckle and retail for $25 at the store.
The Lego watches Northeastern donates will be given to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany and Schenectady, and distributed to children in need served by the nonprofit organization.
“During the holiday season, it is important for us all to give back to our communities. Lego watches are widely popular yet practical gifts that can be put to great use,” said Northeastern Fine Jewelry President Ray Bleser. “We look forward to supporting the Boys & Girls Club by providing kids with a new twist on a classic toy for the holidays.”
Northeastern is offering more than 2,500 gifts for under $500 this holiday season. The retailer carries brands including Cartier, Breitling, Hearts on Fire, Lagos, Kwiat, Simon G, John Hardy and Mikimoto.
