Where is the JA New York convention located in New York?
The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is located on 11th Avenue between 34th and 39th Street in New York City.

What are the dates for future events?

Do I need to register for each JA New York event separately?
Yes, you must register for each separate event so that we have the most current information for your business. Think of it as an RSVP to let us know you are coming to the show! Please check our website www.ja-newyork.com for updates regarding NEW registration qualifications.

Who can attend?
The JA New York shows are for ACTIVE JEWELRY BUYERS ONLY.  This is a TRADE event and is NOT open to the public.  To gain entrance to the show the company and the employee must qualify to attend.  Each company must be able to prove they purchase finished jewelry in the jewelry industry and each employee must prove they work for that company.

Buyers must be active Retailers or Wholesalers of finished jewelry.  Manufacturers and loose stone dealers will not be admitted to the show.  Your firm must be an active Retailer or Wholesaler of finished jewelry, not loose stones.

1. RETAIL STORES (that carry fine jewelry)

  • Jewelry Retail Stores (independent & chain stores)
  • Department Stores  / Leased Dept Operator
  • Mass Merchandise Retailer
  • Online / TV / Other Direct Jewelry Marketer
  • Specialty Retailers that carry fine jewelry (Boutiques, Museums, Galleries)
  • Pawn Shops
  • Jewelry Repair Stores
  • Jewelry Appraisers

Is this show open to the general public?

ADMISSION NOT GRANTED TO:

  • Individuals under the age of 16, including infants
  • Individuals operating businesses from home
  • General Public/Non-trade Guests/Retail Buyer Guests
  • Manufacturers, suppliers, loose stone dealers

How do I register?

What is the cost to attend?
There is no cost to attend as a qualified Buyer.

What are the registration requirements?
Please refer to the "Qualification Criteria" page under the Attendee tab at the top for complete qualifying information and documentations required for both company and employees.

I have attended in the past, do I need to re-qualify and why?
In order to protect our retail community, the JA New York show is refreshing our database by re-qualifying each individual who attends our show.  Pre-qualified companies found in the member look up are those listed as a Wholesaler or Retailer in JA, JBT and AGS. The principal name listed on the member files will automatically be pre-qualified. Those not listed as the principal name will need to provide the required employee documentation. Where do I upload the required credentials if I am a first time buyer?
Please upload a minimum of two of the required credentials during the registration process online via the UPLOAD CREDENTIALS feature.

How will I know I am registered?

  • Online Registration: When you register online an immediate email confirmation will be sent to your email address or fax number provided. In order to complete your registration, you must proceed to Step 4 where the following text appears “PLEASE PRINT OUT THIS SCREEN FOR ALL REGISTRANTS. IT IS YOUR CONFIRMATION AND RECEIPT.” If you close out of registration prior to this step or do not receive a confirmation, your registration information was not saved.
  • Registering via mail or fax: If you register by fax or postal mail, you will only receive an email confirmation if you have completed all the required demographics, provided the required credentials and provided an email address. Please allow up to 1 week for fax or mail registrations.

I completed the online registration process and submitted my corresponding business credentials, when will I receive my approval confirmation?
You will be notified via email once your registration has been reviewed. Please do not call to confirm receipt of your fax. We will follow up and/or send confirmation within one week.

How do I add more staff to my store/company once I’m registered and qualified?
Register your additional staff just as you registered originally. Each staff member that was not found in the pre-qualified database will need to submit the proper employee credentials. For more in depth qualification criteria visit the "Qualification Criteria" page.

When will I receive my badge?
BADGES WILL NOT BE MAILED.
You must print and bring your confirmation page to the show site to print out your badge. Just like you do at the airline when you print your boarding pass.

Are hotel discounts being offered?
YES! JA New York negotiates special hotel rates for our trade show. We encourage you to book your hotel at one of our official hotels. Note that JA New York runs a free shuttle from our official hotels to the convention center on a daily basis to transport you back and forth to the show. What are the Show floor restrictions?
Based on decades of show experience, we’ve developed these guidelines to maintain the professional level of JA New York and enhance the enjoyment of all who exhibit and attend. We thank you for following these rules and helping to uphold our standards of excellence.

  • The JA New York shows are for ACTIVE JEWELRY BUYERS ONLY.  This is a TRADE event and is NOT open to the public. 
  • Buyers must be active Retailers or Wholesalers of finished jewelry, not loose stones.  Manufacturers, loose stone dealer, and individualsoperating a home based business will not be admitted to the show.  No private, non-trade buyer is permitted on the show floor. 
  • Retailers or wholesalers found to register private or non-trade buyers will be subject to penalties.
  • All buyers are required to show individual business identification and government issued photo ID to be allowed in the show. Retail stores found to register private or non-trade buyers will be subject to penalties.
  • Individual personalized business and personal photo identifications must be carried at all times.
  • No one will be permitted to vouch for another individual’s credentials.
  • No strollers or children under the age of 16 including infants are allowed (ONLY EXCEPTION: if the infant is carried in a baby carrier AT ALL TIMES - SHOW DAYS ONLY).
  • JA New York reserves the right to use photographs / video taken of you at the show for marketing purposes.
  • All attendees are approved by Nielsen Expositions. Registration from the public will be denied.
  • Your badge is non-transferable. It will be confiscated upon any attempts to transfer or sell it, and all parties will be banned from future shows.
  • Solicitation of business or distribution of materials by non-exhibitors is prohibited. Violators will be removed from the show.

 

Are there wheelchair and scooter rentals available at the show?
Yes. JA New York will have wheelchair and scooter rentals available at the show. Please check back at a later date for scooter rental information.

How can I obtain a Visa letter invitation for the JA New York Show? 
JA New York will auto populate a VISA letter upon completion of registration. Please register in order for your VISA letter to auto populate.
