Kay Jewelers’ sterling silver Derby-themed jewelry includes these horse and hat charms.

Akron, Ohio--Kay Jewelers has launched a Kentucky Derby-themed collection of charms and bracelets to commemorate the race, which is scheduled to take place this weekend at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

The sterling silver Derby line offers six charms: a “Run for the Roses” charm, two horseshoes, a mint julep, a horse and a Derby hat, as well as a Kentucky Derby bracelet.

Part of the retailer’s “Charmed Memories” collection, the charms range in price from $34.99 to $59.99, and the bracelet is $59.99. The jewelry currently is available on the Kay Jewelers website, and will be offered in retail stores soon, according to a report.

Kay, which is owned by Akron-based Sterling Jewelers, is not the only brand linking its name to the Derby, which marks its 140th anniversary this year.

Swatch Group-owned Swiss watch brand Longines is the official timekeeper for the Triple Crown, comprised of the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. As the official timekeeper for all three horse races, Longines has a considerable presence at the Derby, as well as on the countdown clock on the Kentucky Derby website.

The Derby is scheduled to take place Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
