Van Cleef honors Monaco's new princess
Monte Carlo, Monaco--In homage to the new Princess Charlene of Monaco, Van Cleef & Arpels has introduced the “Charlene Salon” in its boutique in Monte Carlo, as well as a limited edition of 15 sets of “Princess Charlene Magic Alhambra,” a reinterpreted collection of the Alhambra motif.
“Princess Charlene Magic Alhambra” consists of a long necklace and dangling earrings made of alternating and asymmetrical clover motifs of pavé diamonds and turquoise. Sold exclusively at the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique in Monaco, a portion of proceeds will benefit the associations and foundations endorsed by Princess Charlene.
Van Cleef also created a necklace for the Princess as a gift from Prince Albert of Monaco, called “Océan,” which she wore to the Bal de la Croix Rouge, or Red Cross Ball in August. The necklace, which converts into a tiara, hold 883 round-cut diamonds, 10 pear-cut diamonds, a 4-carat pear-cut diamond and 358 round-cut sapphires, in color graduation of three hues.
The Océan necklace will be on display during the L’Historie de Mariage Princier exhibition at the Musée Oceanographique de Monaco until November.
