Kardashian weds in Lorraine Schwartz
New York--The celebrity buzz was all about Kim Kardashian this past weekend, as the reality star married Kris Humphries, an NBA player who most recently played for the New Jersey Nets.
“Kim chose a diamond eternity band set in platinum by Lorraine Schwartz,” Michael O’Connor, celebrity stylist and jewelry expert, said. “Kim clearly wanted the best quality wedding ring, and since the diamonds are set in platinum that setting won’t fade or tarnish.”
Kim Kardashian’s wedding band, by designer Lorraine Schwartz, contains approximately 15 carats of emerald cut diamonds and is valued at more than $200,000.
In addition to the band, Kardashian’s headline-making engagement ring reportedly holds a 20.5-carat, $2 million emerald-cut diamond.
The bride also wore a headpiece by Lorraine Schwartz, made up of a strand of diamonds featuring larger, tear-shaped diamonds hanging around the front, resting on Kardashian’s forehead.
Celebrity guests at the wedding also donned their diamonds.
Julianne Hough, actress and country music singer best known from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, sported a Neil Lane diamond and platinum ring (below) to Kardashian’s wedding.
Actress Lindsay Lohan (below) wore Erica Courtney’s green beryl and platinum ring with white diamonds (below, top, $26,000), as well as the designer’s green tourmaline and white diamond square drop earrings (below, bottom, $18,800).
Lohan also wore a Philip Press diamond and white gold bracelet (below, top), which retails for $19,200, and an Elodie K. diamond flower and white gold hand bracelet (below, bottom), retailing for $5,000.
