New York--The 39th Annual American Music Awards, held in Los Angeles Nov. 20, gave celebrities a chance to parade their jewels down the red carpet. Diamond-laden drop earrings were an expected staple, while some stars chose to accessorize with sapphire cuffs and bold cocktail rings. Below, National Jeweler highlights the stand-out jewelry at the event.

New Year’s Eve’s Katherine Heigl (above, left) wore Sutra’s blue sapphire and black rough diamond tassel earrings (below, $35,250).

Singer Selena Gomez (below) wore Candy Ice’s “Blossoming Vine” earrings, made of white gold, colorless topaz and diamonds ($4,000). The earrings come with interchangeable charms, seen at the bottom, and Gomez’s are made of white gold, diamond and black agate ($1,400 each).

Singer Katy Perry (below) wore Candy Ice’s pink and white topaz earrings with diamond accents ($6,800).

Reality TV star Audrina Patridge wore a bevy of Kwiat diamond bracelets to the awards (below).
