Museum, Jewelry TV offer Titanic collection
Knoxville, Tenn.--A Titanic jewelry collection has debuted on Jewelry Television (JT), reminiscent of the types of pieces on the ship’s maiden voyage 100 years ago.
The collection is the result of a partnership between JT and Titanic Museum Attraction, and each of the 20 designs in the collection is inspired by and named in honor of actual passengers aboard the ill-fated ship, which sank in April 1912.
“Madeleine’s Edwardian Necklace” ($199.50) is a crystal necklace named after Madeleine Talmage Force Astor, a passenger on the Titanic.
“We know that the 100-year anniversary of the Titanic’s maiden voyage is going to draw unprecedented worldwide attention this year,” Dan Chase, vice president of merchandising for JT, said. “This is a perfect partnership between the world’s most respected Titanic Museum Attraction and one of the world’s top jewelry retailers.”
Jewelry in the Titanic Collection is made from base metals and glass and ranges from $17.44 to $199.50.
“Irene’s Cabaret Necklace” ($59.90) is a simulated onyx and round crystal necklace named after Titanic passenger Irene Harris.
Established in 1993, Tennessee-based JT offers customers costume and fine jewelry at a discounted price. The Titanic Collection is only available through JT, on television or online.
