New consulting co's focus is product development

New York--Laura Brown, the former chief merchandising officer of ViewPoint sales and marketing, launched a new product management company, Elbee Strategic, on Feb 13.

Elbee Strategic will specialize in merchandising strategies, inventory analytics and market/trend assessments for brands that need a consultant to focus on product development direction.

Brown brings more than 20 years of experience in the designer jewelry and watch arena to her new venture. She has worked with brands such as Phillip Stein, Toy Watch, Sevan Bicakci, Todd Reed and John Hardy, handling product development and product launch strategic planning.

At ViewPoint, Brown was a part of the management team, helping brands to find their product niche in today’s marketplace.

“One of Laura’s most valuable strengths is her ability to review a brand’s product offering and give a thorough analysis of what is needed in terms of merchandising and future product planning,” Jim DeMattei, president and CEO of ViewPoint, said. “She can offer guidance, support and continuity to brands in need of a fresh perspective of today’s marketplace.”
