New campaign promotes jewelry-cleaning events
Apr 30, 2008
Columbus, Ohio—The Kingswood Co., suppliers of private-label, fine-jewelry-care products, has launched a new campaign to help retail jewelers spur sales.Entitled "A Sparkling Affair," the campaign encourages jewelers to schedule jewelry-cleaning events to bring in new customers and strengthen relationships with returning customers.
The campaign was launched with a series of e-mails to retail jewelers offering event-planning ideas and encouraging jewelers to visit The Kingswood Co. Web site for more details, as well as the company's booth at JCK Las Vegas (Booth No. 33108).
As promoted through the campaign, all new Kingswood customers who order a Starter Kit, and all existing customers who order one gross of jewelry cleaner and 150 polishing cloths, will receive a bottle of champagne and event-planning details to get a start on their own jewelry-cleaning events.
According to the company, jewelry-cleaning events present several opportunities to jewelers: The events can bring in sales, they re-establish the jeweler as an expert in the field and they offer the opportunity to garner revenue from jewelry repairs.
"There's no doubt that the economy has slowed," Kingswood Director of Sales and Marketing Jane Arthur-Roslovic said in a media release. "But in either good economic times or bad, jewelry-care products can be used by jewelers to build strong relationships with their customers. Strengthening that relationship will ensure those customers return when times improve."
