SPS to sponsor seminars at SMART Show
New York--The Silver Promotion Service (SPS) has announced its sponsorship of the marketing track segment of the SMART Jewelry Show’s Friday, April 20, conference sessions.
The sessions will consist of five seminars covering various topics: website and e-tailing best practices, mobile/location-based marketing, case displays, social media/email marketing and “The Digital Bride.”
Michael Barlerin, director of the SPS, said he was pleased with the sponsorship opportunity.
“In addition to being able to work with the industry experts who will be presenting the various topics, we also hope to learn from the comments and questions from retailers attending the sessions,” he said. “Both will be beneficial as we adapt the learning to various future SPS programs.”
Barlerin added that the SPS has dual objectives when it comes to participating in tradeshows.
“We obviously want to communicate information to retailers relating to the surge in silver jewelry sales and the long-term implications for the industry,” he said. “We also want to better understand and learn more about the needs of the retail community as they relate to silver jewelry so that we can better address them.”
The SPS has switched its role at tradeshows over the past two years from acting as exhibitor to sponsor. Last year, the group held a sponsorship position at the SMART Jewelry Show, Couture, JCK and IJL.
The SMART Jewelry show will be held April 21-23 in Navy Pier, Chicago. Additional information can be found on the show’s website here.
