JA updates professional certification program
New York--Jewelers of America has updated its Sales and Management Professional Certification program, which validates the talent and proficiency of jewelry industry professionals to national standards.
JA will launch the updated program by holding on-site exams at the Smart Jewelry Show in Chicago on April 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Individuals who register early for the exam will receive a $10 discount; JA members will also receive additional savings.
JA’s Sales and Management Professional Certifications are recommended for jewelry store owners, managers, assistant managers and sales associates. To become certified, individuals take and pass a written exam at a location of their choice or authorized JA test site, like the Smart show.
Exams are available for two levels of skill and cover procedures, terms and concepts that jewelry professionals encounter in their daily work. Professional Certification is also available for bench jewelers.
“Earning JA Professional Certification in sales or management can advance your career, differentiate your store and improve your reputation with fine jewelry customers,” JA President and CEO David Bonaparte said.
Additional information about JA’s Professional Certification programs can be found here.
To register for the Professional Certification exam at the Smart show, call JA at 800-223-0673 ext. 8007 or 8003.
