CIBJO Congress Web site up and running
Milan—CIBJO, The World Jewellery Confederation, has announced the launch of a dedicated Web site for its upcoming 2011 Congress in Porto, Portugal.
Located at Congress2011.CIBJO.org, the Web site serves as the primary conduit for information about the event, including scheduling, documents released by the various professional commissions, speeches and presentations, photographs and videos, and a press section.
Participants also can register for the Congress on the Web site and make their hotel reservations there as well as get information about the host city, Congress venue and agenda.
The CIBJO Congress 2011 is scheduled for March 14 to 16 at the Freixo Palace Hotel on the banks of the Douro River in Porto. The host for the event is the Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association, under the auspices of the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of North Portugal.
CIBJO’s annual Congresses serve as the primary gathering place for the confederation, which is made up of national jewelry associations from 40 countries and other industry leaders. The primary purpose of the organization is to address issues of worldwide concern to the jewelry industry and protect consumer confidence in jewelry.
CIBJO publishes directories, known as “Blue Books,” of international standards for diamonds, colored stones, pearls, gem labs, and precious metals.
