A night of music and laughs for the 24-K NY
New York--The 24 Karat Club of New York held its annual banquet and party Saturday night at the Waldorf Astoria hotel here, offering a night of conversation and entertainment to celebrate the club’s 110th anniversary.
More than 1,100 people turned out for the event, including executives from Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Sterling, London Jewelers and the Platinum Guild International, as well as designers such as Erica Courtney and Lita Asscher.
A “step and repeat” photograph area provided attendees with props, including mustaches on a stick, top hats and feather boas, paving the way for playful pictures with friends and colleagues.

Brittany and Jessica Sklar (below), who have performed for President Obama, played during the cocktail hour, and a Rat Pack cover band played a tribute concert for guests.

The main act of the night was comedian Howie Mandel, who not only offered a stand-up routine but offered the audience a sneak peek at his new television show, Mobbed.
“We were thrilled with how the evening turned out,” Michael Toback, president of Myron Toback, Inc. and chair of this year’s banquet, said. “There was such a great energy in the room, and an extremely positive response to the entertainment. It was truly a spectacular evening and a great way to kick off 2012 with friends and colleagues.”
Founded in 1902, the 24 Karat Club of New York is composed of a maximum of 200 members involved in the jewelry industry.
