JVC’s Flamm explains revised platinum FTC guides

New processes, designs and products keep life interesting for manufacturers, retailers, consumers and, not to be left out—the federal government. One example is the fairly recent use of platinum in combination with base metals—a departure from traditional platinum products that have been offered to consumers for many years. Recognizing the potential for confusion as a result of the new products, in December 2010, the Federal Trade Commission revised its Platinum Guides to address this development.
