Venus Jewel joins IDEX Online
September 19, 2008
Geneva, Switzerland—India-based manufacturer Venus Jewel is now a member of IDEX Online SA's online diamond-trading platform, according to a release from IDEX. The IDEX Online trading platform hosts the world's largest online diamond inventory, valued at more than $3 billion with more than 3,000 buyer requests at any given time. The addition of Venus Jewel as a member means that buyers now can search through an additional 5,000 fully certified diamonds. All of Venus Jewel's diamonds are graded in-house using the company's own grading system. IDEX Online has added Venus' grading results into its search results, to ensure customers can accurately view the Venus grade. In addition, the Venus Jewel's grading report has been implemented in the IDEX Online inventory and is now being presented online as part of the search results for any Venus-listed diamonds. "By adding their stock to the IDEX Online inventory, Venus Jewel is bringing their goods to a wider, global audience," IDEX Chief Executive Officer Abraham Stern said in a media release. "The adaptation of the IDEX Online inventory system to fit in with the Venus grading system is another example of how IDEX Online cooperates with like-minded industry stakeholders that are committed to continually introducing innovative value-added services for the benefit of all of our trade members." Venus Jewel partner Anil Shah said the Venus grading system provides transparency to customers buying high-value solitaires, and joining the IDEX Online trading platform allows them to make this service available all over the world. "We believe this combination is positively poised to offer prospective buyers based diversely in small and big strategic locations across the globe an extremely fast, highly efficient and completely reliable mode of conducting business," he said.
