Report: Lohan-loaned jewels missing

London--Diamond jewels worth approximately $410,000 have gone missing after a photo shoot involving actress Lindsay Lohan, her U.S. spokeswoman and British police told Reuters on Tuesday.

British media said the jewels--earrings and a necklace believed to be diamond--were made by Dior and loaned to Elle magazine for the shoot in north London on June 6.

According to Reuters, police did not name Lohan in a statement they made about Westminster police investigating an allegation of jewelry theft from studios in Brewery Road, Islington, but the statement was issued in response to a query about the 22-year-old actress.

The police said there had been no arrests, and that they would be interviewing several people in connection with their inquiry, Reuters reports.

A spokeswoman for Lohan, who is trying to rebound from recent troubles that include a 2007 drink driving conviction, acknowledged the probe. But she told Reuters that there were about 20 people at the photo shoot, Lohan was not being investigated personally and that police had not yet questioned her.
