New York—
Patek Philippe has named
Larry Pettinelli president of the
Henri Stern Watch Agency, the U.S. division of the company, effective Feb. 1.
Hank Edelman, who has been president since 1991, will become chairman of the board of directors and will continue to work with the company in its New York office on a limited weekly schedule.
Pettinelli will be in charge of the company's daily operations, including sales, distribution, marketing and customer service.
"Larry is ideally suited to lead the Henri Stern Watch Agency in the coming years," Philippe Stern, president and owner of the Geneva-based Patek Philippe S.A, said in a statement. "He has worked closely with Hank for the past 18 years, understands our philosophy and will continue to promote our brand with loyalty, dignity and fairness."
Pettinelli says the company does not intend to change direction and will continue its close partnership with authorized retailers.
In 2000, Pettinelli was named a company vice president. After graduating from Hobart College in 1985, he worked as an investment banker before joining Henri Stern Watch Agency as a sales associate in 1988.
Patek Philippe is sold in about 130 authorized retail stores across the United States, including select
Tiffany and Co. locations and other fine independent jewelers.
