Made in 2011, the stainless steel split-seconds chronograph features a perpetual calendar, moon phases, leap year and 24-hour indication.
The Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction is Antiquorum’s first sale in celebration of its 40th anniversary this year and will offer a total of 250 lots.
Another highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Ref. 5004J, the only known example of this reference in yellow gold with a black dial and the only one ever to appear at auction. The 18-karat yellow gold wristwatch features a black dial and split-seconds chronograph, perpetual calendar, moon phases, leap year, 24-hour indication and an 18-karat yellow gold deployant clasp.
Accompanied by a fitted box and certificate of origin, the piece has a pre-sale high estimate of approximately $400,000.
A Richard Mille tonneau-shaped “Tourbillon Prototype,” which Antiquorum said is “highly sought-after,” also will appear at the auction. The RM038 AL MG Proto 03 magnesium wristwatch features a visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, 48-hour power reserve and a titanium double-folding deployant clasp.
The watch is expected to sell for about $386,800.
Timepieces from Rolex and Audemars Piguet also will be included in the sale. Additional information can be found on the Antiquorum website.
