The “Rebel Heart” campaign embodies rebellion, romance, and sensuality, the brand said.
Three Cool NYFW Jewelry Looks
Eye M by Ileana Makri and Alexis Bittar made appearances on the runways at New York Fashion Week.
New York--Jewelry is often an afterthought for fashion brands when showing their collections to buyers and press, but at the just-concluded New York Fashion Week, three jewelry brands managed to leave an impression in the sea of clothing and accessories.
Eye M by Ileana Makri collaborated with popular ready-to-wear designer Jonathan Simkhai on a line of artistic and earthy earrings.
The capsule collection is comprised of bold, single earrings that were worn mismatched down the runway. The earrings are statement styles, rendered in sterling silver and gold-plated sterling silver with accents of red japer, snowflake obsidian, howlite, zehar mohra-serpentine, pearl and rose quartz.
The collection will be available for purchase in the fall from Jonathan Simkhai and Eye M Ileana Makri’s respective e-commerce sites. Pricing has yet to be determined.
Fashion designer Rosie Assoulin is a maker of quirky, feminine clothes that are for the woman who isn’t afraid to stand out, making her a natural favorite among the fashion set.
She also excels at incorporating a stand-out accessory or two into her seasonal collections and for fall/winter 2018, her focus was on jewelry.
A mash-up of Alexander Calder mobiles and childhood arts and crafts, the bold earrings and bangles Assoulin showed were both nostalgic and playful. They were rendered in a mix of bright colors and are perhaps an indicator of a more vibrant jewelry color palette for next fall and winter.
The Blonds, a fashion line that is part ready-to-wear, part costume and part show, relied on a master of costume jewelry to outfit their most recent runway looks—Alexis Bittar.
As the clothing was a mash-up of colors and styles, the jewels were kept a bit more classic and wearable. The Blonds chose pre-existing geometric style earrings, a mainstay for Bittar, to ground their ready-to-wear looks.
The Extra Large Pyramid Clip Earring (which is currently available on AlexisBittar.com) was featured prominently with several fashion looks, as was another pyramid-style earring from the archives, plus a geometric stud. All were rendered in gold-tone brass.
