With special timing features--think deep-water capabilities--complicated movements, special histories or diamond studding, timepieces can be as unique as those who wear them. This edition of CJG checks out recent celebrity watch sightings. 

International soccer star David Beckham (below) paid a visit to the Jacob & Co. flagship boutique on 57th St. in New York City to check out the latest collection of timepieces. He soon became the first client to own “The Global,” a novelty watch from this year’s collection.



English actress Andrea Riseborough wore Neil Lane’s diamond and platinum watch bracelet (below) to the Holly wood Style Awards this month.


Jaeger-LeCoultre presented personalized Reverso watches to three award winners at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in Italy, which feature a lacquered engraving depicting a lion, the symbol of Venice, and the inscription “68. Mostra” (below).


The watches were presented to Deanie Yip (below, top), a Hong Kong actress award with best actress; Michael Fassbender, who was awarded best actor; and Aleksandr Sokurov (below, bottom), who received the Golden Lion award for best film.



Additionally, actress Diane Kruger wore Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Joaillerie 101 timepiece to the Italian film festival (below, top), and actor Al Pacino was given en engraved watch by the brand (below, bottom), recognizing his contribution to the world of film.



Other stars at the Venice Film Festival that kept time with Jaeger-LeCoultre were Pulp Fiction’s Maria de Medeiros (below, top), who wore the brand’s Reverso Neva, and Hawaii Five-0’s Val Lauren (below, bottom), who wore the Master Memovox.


Additionally, Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh (below) wore Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso GT to the Venice Film Festival.


Actor Nick Cannon wore Christian Tse’s 48MM black onyx and diamond chronograph watch (below, $13,000) on the show America’s Got Talent.


Piaget sponsored an amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) Inspiration Gala last month in Los Angeles, where Hollywood’s elite came to honor the late Elizabeth Taylor. American filmmaker Liz Goldwyn (below, right) wore a Piaget Possession watch in 18-karat white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds on a black stain strap ($12,500). Here, Goldwyn stands with actor Keegan Allen.


On Oct. 24, the Lincoln Center in New York City presented an evening with designer Ralph Lauren, hosted by Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey led a personal on-stage conversation with Lauren, offering a rare look into the life of the icon. For the event, Winfrey wore a Ralph Lauren medium full pavé stirrup timepiece on a red alligator strap ($38,700). Below, Oprah poses with Lauren.


Oprah was also seen with First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner wearing a Philip Stein stainless steel dual quartz time-zone limited edition Oprah dial timepiece ($730), designed especially for Oprah on her anniversary.

Actress Reese Whitherspoon wore a 1963 Estate diamond and 18-karat yellow gold watch-bracelet (below) to the 45th Annual Country Music Awards at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
