Responsibilities Include

  • Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts.
  • Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentations; understanding account requirements.
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential account; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
  • Develops industry and job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by meeting set goals as needed.
  • Continuously builds new relationships with potential advertisers and membership prospects through sales calls, trade shows, site visits.
  • Grows existing advertising and membership base by creating new opportunities that combine the resources of both National Jeweler & Jewelers of America.
  • Supports clients by providing prompt information and guidance, recommending new opportunities; improvements in ROI.
  • Remains current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience
  • Jewelry industry experience a plus
  • Must be based in the New York City area
  • 4-year College degree or equivalent
  • Experience with The Magazine Manager (TMM) or similar software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Outlook
  • Travel: 30%
