Mumbai--The International Gemological Institute showcased its latest services and offerings, including a new mobile application and the opening of a Jaipur location, at the India International Jewellery Show in Mumbai last week.
During the show, held from July 17 to 21, the IGI debuted its new app for consumers called “my Diamond, my Jewelry,” which gives them the latest jewelry trends and information, helps them make an educated decision when buying, and keeps retailers top-of-mind by providing a list of certified stores.
IG also announced the opening of a new grading laboratory and educational institute in Jaipur, which will cater to the Rajasthan and North India clients that are currently served by the New Delhi laboratory.
IGI’s senior gemological professionals were on-site at IIJS to showcase their its latest certification and educational offerings, provide information about the importance of certification, meet with clients, visitors and other exhibitors, and respond to queries and suggestions.
The IGI also held its “Live Grading Laboratory,” initially introduced at IIJS in 2009, to offer analysis and certification services on-site to ensure confident buying at the show.
“Awareness of the need for quality and certification is rising among consumers. A worldwide platform like IIJS helps further provide assurance and builds confidence among both trade members and consumers alike,” said IGI’s India Managing Director, Tehmasp Printer. “Moreover, IGI’s new mobile application combines the Institute’s international grading expertise with accessible technology, marking a major milestone in the evolution of certification in India.”
