GIA again recognized for ethical practices
For the second year in a row, the Ethisphere Institute has again named the Gemological Institute of America as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
Carlsbad, Calif.--For the second year in a row, the Ethisphere Institute has named the Gemological Institute of America as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
The GIA was recognized in the 2014 list for its continued efforts to build and maintain a superior ethics and compliance program.
To be included in the annual list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies, organizations must demonstrate an active role in promoting ethical business practices internally and exceeding legal compliance standards.
GIA President and CEO Susan Jacques said the designation is a testament to the dedication of the institute to conduct every aspect of its global activities with integrity and according to the best principles of ethical business practices.
“Everything we do revolves around GIA’s public benefit mission, and our compliance program is always a priority,” she said.
Additional information and a complete list of the 2014 World’s Most Ethical Companies can be found on the Ethisphere Institute website.
Founded in 2007, the Ethisphere Institute is an independent research center dedicated to promoting best practices in business ethics, corporate and social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability.
