New York--Jewelers of America and the Diamond Council of America are now accepting 2018 scholarship applications on a first-come, first-served basis through Sept. 30.

The scholarships are available to employees of JA and DCA member companies and go toward industry diploma, professional development or certification programs.

Over the past five years, JA has given out more than $150,000 to its members for industry education.

Certain scholarships offered are exclusive to education through the DCA, the Gemological Institute of America and the Jewelers Education Foundation of the American Gem Society.

Applicants must have worked at JA or DCA member company for at least one year and be at least 18 years old. They cannot already be enrolled in a home study course from any of the above educational providers.

The application and more information is available on Jewelers.org or by contacting JA’s Member Services at 800-223-0673.
