Serena Williams Partners with Diamonds Unleashed for NYFW
Tennis’ most accomplished current player has created a collection of bridge jewelry to benefit Kara Ross’ foundation that aims to empower women and girls.
New York--Serena Williams may have just missed out on the chance to beat Steffi Graf’s record for the most majors won in the Open Era (for this year anyway), but the industrious multihyphenate athlete has plenty to keep her busy.
Most imminently, Williams has partnered with Kara Ross’ Diamonds Unleashed organization, which creates jewelry that benefits charitable partners that focus on women’s education and empowerment.
The result is Diamonds Unleashed for Serena Williams, a line of cuff bracelets, choker necklaces, hoop earrings and rings that are gold-plated, some displaying responsibly mined CanadaMark diamond accents. The collection will retail at a bridge price point, starting at $169.90 for a bronze ring plated in white gold and capping at $419.90 for a choker.
The designs are bold and fashion-forward with a nod to athletic inspiration via a lace-up motif. Each piece subtly incorporates the Diamond Unleashed logo, which Ross designed as a symbol of women’s empowerment.
The collection will debut on Monday at Williams’ HSN collection’s New York Fashion Week runway show, where models will sport the designs. The show will be broadcast on HSN live at 2:45 EST, and will be available for purchase on the site afterward.
In 2016 Diamonds Unleashed is donating net profits to She’s the First and Girls Who Code.
