New York--Just in time for its annual fashion show, Victoria’s Secret has revealed the design of its latest Fantasy Bra.
Valued at $3 million, the 2016 “Bright Night” Fantasy Bra is adorned with more than 9,000 gems, hand-set with diamonds and emeralds in 18-karat gold on a custom Beautiful by Victoria’s Secret bra.
The company said it took more than 700 hours to create the brassiere, which has more than 450 carats of gemstones.
Eddie Borgo designed the bra, which was crafted with jewels from AW Mouzannar.
The company also announced that Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes will wear the Fantasy Bra on the runway in the “Bright Night Angel” section of the 2016 Fashion Show, set to air Monday, Dec. 5 on CBS. This is the first time Tookes has been tapped to wear the blinged-out bra.
Last year’s bra, created in collaboration with jeweler Mouawad, was valued at $2 million, featuring more than 6,500 gemstones including diamonds, blue topaz, yellow sapphires and pink quartz, all set in 18-karat gold. Model Lily Aldridge wore it.
Other models who have donned the Fantasy Bra in past years include Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer.
