There are designers who consider form before materials and designers who let their materials inspire their creations.

Sheryl Lowe belongs to the latter camp. Though she creates plenty of gold and diamond jewelry, much of which incorporates spiritual symbols, her most remarkable pieces exhibit her adept eye for unique gemstones.
