Diamond brand Hearts on Fire held its motivational and educational seminar for sales associates, Hearts on Fire University, last week, inviting more than 650 retailers from around the world to Sin City for three days of speakers, events and even a special surprise performance from singer Jewel.
In Los Angeles, retail institution Hing Wa Lee just opened its flagship store, a location eight years in the making. Meanwhile, across the country in New York, there was another opening to celebrate; an exhibition of works from more than 40 American Jewelry Design Council artists opened at the Forbes Galleries, and will remain on display through February of next year.

During Hearts on Fire University (HOFU), the brand recognized its top sales associates, inducted five retailers into its Hall of Fame and named Bernie Robbins Jewelers, which operates stores in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as its 2013 Retailer of the Year. “Variations on a Theme: 25 Years of Design from the AJDC” is now open at Forbes Galleries and will remain on display through Feb. 22. The exhibit incorporates the works of 41 American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) artists and features pieces that represent the AJDC’s themed designs from the past 25 years.
