A jewelry show and an education program in India and viewings of new designs and 3-D printed jewelry in New York were among the happenings in the industry this week.

In Mumbai, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council held the 31st India International Jewellery Show in Mumbai, showcasing more than 850 exhibitors. It officially started with a lamp-lighting ceremony by a representative from the government of Nepal and two GJEPC executives.

Meanwhile in New York, National Jeweler’s editors dropped by Flat 128 in Manhattan’s West Village to see the work of British jewelry designer Sarah Angold.
