The first week of February proved to be a busy one within the industry; the AGTA’s GemFair kicked off in Tucson and Jewelers of America announced the winners of its annual CASE Awards.

Meanwhile, auction houses Christie’s and Sotheby’s released their jewelry sale totals for 2014 while the Gemological Institute of America revealed that it would be hosting a months-long exhibition of intricately carved gemstones. There was also news from Stuller and Antiquorum Auctioneers.
