The Women’s Jewelry Association took part in the International Women’s Day March for Gender Equality and Women’s Rights, held Sunday in New York to celebrate the steps that have already been taken toward gender equality and to address the gaps that remain. Big news in the industry went bi-coastal this week, with New York hosting two events surrounding women and the much-anticipated Apple Watch being revealed in Cupertino, Calif.

On Sunday, the Women’s Jewelry Association took part in the International Women’s Day march in Manhattan and two days later held its annual In The Know conference.

Also, Apple revealed  its smartwatch this week, Etsy teamed up with the American Museum of Natural History, and Target announced it was cutting more than 3,000 jobs.
