De Beers announced it was launching a pilot program to sell other companies’ polished diamonds, while its diamond brand Forevermark unveiled its plans for holiday marketing.

Meanwhile, a deal to acquire Blue Nile was announced, the name of the company that purchased the 2.83-carat “Argyle Violet” was revealed, and the gold price was fluctuated amid Tuesday’s presidential election and results.
