Angelica Jewelry’s new “Friends” bracelets include charms of Phoebe’s “Smelly Cat,” coffee shop Central Perk and the famous Friends couch. The bracelets are made from recycled metals.
New York--Angelica Jewelry just launched a special-edition series of charm bracelets inspired by the TV show Friends thanks to a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

Owned by Royal Chain, Angelica Jewelry will offer 23 styles of adjustable charm bracelets inspired by the hit series, which ran from 1994 to 2004, made in various colors of recycled metals.

The Friends charm bracelets currently are being sold at the Central Perk pop-up shop at 199 Lafayette St. in New York. The pieces also will be carried by more than 1,500 Angelica Jewelry retailers nationwide.

The brand will donate 25 cents from the sale of each bracelet to Generation Rescue, a charity that supports programs for families affected by autism.

Hasenfeld-Stein recently introduced the “FireCushion,” a patent-pending diamond cut classified by the Gemological Institute of America as a cushion-brilliant and rated “excellent” in polish and symmetry, the company said.

The FireCushion appears 15 percent larger than typical cushion-cut diamonds of the same weight, Hasenfeld-Stein said. The FireCushion also will be 15 percent lighter than a typical cushion cut of the same dimensions, as their facets go directly from the girdle to cutlet, “eliminating that extra belly and excess weight.”

The FireCushion stones have a minimum 95 percent light return and are priced on the fancies list rather than the rounds list.

FireCushion retailers will receive full marketing support, including geographic exclusivity, point-of-sale selling tools, sales training and graphics and videos for online presence.

Los Angeles-based manufacturer Quadamas Inc. now is offering an “AsscherQueen” diamond cut, available as loose stones from 3.1 mm and larger as well as half-carat and larger stones starting from M color and S12 clarity.

The cut is an extension of the company’s Asscher-cut Princess line.

Each diamond has its own GIA certificate and the AsscherQueen logo laser-inscribed on the girdle. The Asscher Queen has more facets and “produces greater brilliancy, scintillation and dispersion for additional sparkle, along with decreased fragility due to the cut corners, creating a more durable stone more resistant to daily wear fractures,” Quadamas said.

The AsscherQueen diamonds will be available through Quadamas in Los Angeles “with potential for exclusive distribution by market upon negotiation.” The company will provide a new logo, marketing materials for point-of-sale and YouTube videos for retailers to use.
