Attleboro, Mass.--MJSA just named Ann Arnold, the chief strategy officer at the Buyers Intelligence Group (BIG), as the chair of its board of directors.

A certified public accountant, Arnold spent more than 20 years as a vice president and, later, CEO of U.S.-based bridal jewelry manufacturer Lieberfarb. She resigned in October 2013 to launch her own consulting firm and joined BIG eight months ago. BIG is a business merchandising consultancy that focuses on helping independent retailers analyze and plan how to merchandise their stores and links them to vendors.

Arnold has been on the MJSA board since 2006 and has been on the association’s executive committee, first as treasurer and then as vice chair, since 2010. She succeeds Edward N. DeCristofaro, who was the MJSA chair since 2012 and now heads the association’s Education Foundation.

In addition, the MJSA:
--Appointed Steven A. Cippola, president of National Chain in Warwick, R.I., as vice chair on the MJSA’s executive committee; he joined the board in 2012;
--Reappointed Cincinnati jeweler Lee Krombholz, of Krombholz Jewelers and Just Like You Designs, to a second three-year term on the board; and
--Elected John Antonacci, director of sales and marketing for Advanced Chemical Co. in Warwick, R.I., to the board for a three-year term.
