Fla. retailer brings glamour with ‘Red Carpet’ event
As the Oscars approach, retailer Hamilton Jewelers is looking to bring some star power to the community with an event celebrating red carpet styles at its Palm Beach Gardens store.
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.--As the Oscars approach, retailer Hamilton Jewelers is looking to bring some star power to the community with an event celebrating red carpet styles at its Palm Beach Gardens store.
Beginning Friday and continuing through March 2--the day of the Academy Awards--Hamilton will host its “Red Carpet Celebration” event, which is open to the public, to showcase jewels that represent many of the latest trends seen on celebrities this awards season, including rose-cut diamonds, bold color in statement earrings and cocktail rings, one-of-a-kind custom designs and cuff bracelets.
Hamilton Jewelers Vice President Donna Bouchard said many actresses have used this awards season to show off eye-catching jewelry and statement pieces.
“The actresses see the precious pieces as a way to express their individuality, and we are encouraging our clients to join the stylish ranks of actresses like Naomi Watts and Cate Blanchett,” Bouchard said. “We thought it would be an interesting idea to bring Hollywood to Palm Beach and showcase some of the key trends that we’re loving this year. From rose-cut diamonds to statement earrings and lots of bold color, we are hoping to attract the starlet in everyone.”
The retailer’s three-day event also coincides with a major sporting event in the city, The Honda Classic, a PGA Tour golf tournament that begins Monday and continues through March 3, bringing many of the world’s top golfers to the area.
In hopes of attracting some of the athletes and their guests to the Red Carpet event, Hamilton will put a gold box in each guest room for the players at the PGA Resort. Each package will contain an invitation to the event, as well as a leather key loop with a key attached.
One of the keys will open a gift box containing prizes, including a $1,000 gift card to Hamilton Jewelers, a $250 gift card to The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, and a $100 gift card to the PGA Resort.
The store is also mailing out regular invitations, sans the keys, featuring event information and highlighting the jewelry to be showcased, to approximately 12,000 clients across south Florida.
Established in 1912, Hamilton Jewelers has stores in Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, as well as two locations in New Jersey, including the flagship store in Princeton and another in Red Bank.
