PA retailer’s customer gets to ‘Put a Ring on It’
ArtCarved, a manufacturer of engagement rings and wedding bands, announced that a customer of the Reeds Jewelers store in Erie, Pa. won its nationwide “Put a Ring on It” promotion.
Tiffany M. Patterson of Conneautville, Pa. snagged the contest’s grand prize--an engagement ring valued at $5,000.
Patterson, a part-time receptionist and full-time student at Mercyhurst University in Erie, went to Reeds with her boyfriend Sean and they chose ArtCarved’s “Annie” ring as their favorite design.
The couple then asked her professors, classmates, coworkers, friends and family to vote online in the Put a Ring on It contest so she could win the ring of her dreams.
ArtCarved launched the contest at retail stores nationwide in September, and all people had to do to enter was snap a picture of themselves wearing one of the brand’s rings, put it online and ask people to vote.
Patterson’s entry received 17,825 votes. Reeds sales associate Michelle Meyer, who encouraged the couple to enter the contest, received a $500 Visa gift card.
ArtCarved’s “Annie” ring is a classic-style halo design with an emerald cut center stone and a diamond-enhanced band.
Meyer, who started working at Reeds Jewelers just five months ago, has been selling ArtCarved rings for more than nine years. She notes ArtCarved’s commitment to consistent upgrades of its collection as one of the brand’s strongest selling points. “Tiffany was so excited about the ring she chose and I was really rooting for her,” she said.
Patterson and her boyfriend plan to announce their engagement within the next six months.
