Borsheims’ Holiday Catalog Gifts Luxury Experiences
A two-week trip to Botswana and a build-your-own watch lesson from the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute are among the options.

Omaha, Neb.—The holiday season is swiftly approaching, and Borsheims may have just the thing for the person who has everything.
The Berkshire Hathaway-owned retailer published its annual holiday catalog, its pages filled with watches and jewelry as well as luxury experiences, giving shoppers the chance to learn more about the piece they’ve purchased.
For watch enthusiasts, the retailer is offering Watchmaking 101 with the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute, which includes a trip for eight to the institute in Ohio, for $25,000.
The recipient will create their own custom Swiss-made watch, learning about the placement of gears, lubrication of components, timing adjustments, dialing, casing and water testing.
Meanwhile, the Arctic Signature Diamond Trip includes a four-day trip for two to the Canadian Arctic, where Borsheims signature diamonds are mined.
On the itinerary is a visit to the mine to collect a rough diamond, weighing about eight carats, which will be shaped in Toronto, where the trip ends.
Priced at $160,000, the adventure also includes dog sledding, ice fishing, watching the Northern Lights over dinner and an overnight stay in a private teepee beside a fire.
There’s also the Botswana Safari and Kalahari Dream Diamond Trip, which includes a two-week trip to Botswana, complete with four-star accommodations and fine dining, and a 4.51-carat Kalahari Dream Diamond, retailing for $200,000.
Visitors will take a multi-day tour of the country’s national parks and visit the water delivery system built by Borsheims’ diamond sales and the diamond polishing facility. Proceeds from sales of the Kalahari Dream diamonds benefit the namesake region in southern Africa.
“We certainly hope it’s memorable whenever anyone gives a gift from Borsheims, but these gifts really take that experience over the top,” President and CEO Karen Goracke said in a press release.
The trips will be organized by Borsheims and its partners upon purchase, she said.
The retailer will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2020.
In addition to the luxury experiences, Borsheims’ holiday catalog also features an array of fine jewelry from brands such as Omi Privé and Roberto Coin.
