JFC Announces 2017 Facets of Hope Honorees
Jewelers for Children will honor Charles Stanley of Forevermark and Yancy Weinrich of JCK Events at its annual dinner.
New York--Jewelers for Children announced its two Facets of Hope honorees for 2017: Charles Stanley of Forevermark and Yancy Weinrich of JCK Events, Luxury and JIS.
The Facets of Hope dinner is held annually during Las Vegas jewelry market week to celebrate Jewelers for Children’s fundraising efforts over the previous year, and to highlight the charities it supports, which include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation, Make-a-Wish America and the National Casa Foundation.
Since its inception in 1999, Jewelers for Children has raised more than $51 million for charities benefiting children.
Dennis Ulrich, Jewelers for Children’s chairman said, “Charles and Yancy are such great honorees for us. Both play such major roles in the industry and their organizations have been major supporters of our cause since we began in 1999. I can think of no two better people to honor.”
Stanley is president of Forevermark US, which is part of the De Beers Group. Stanley originally began working for De Beers in 1994. In 2004, he joined Harry Winston as vice president of merchandising and operations before rejoining De Beers in 2010 to head Forevermark in the United States.
Weinrich is the senior vice president of the Reed Jewelry Group portfolio of events, which is comprised of JCK, Luxury and JIS, as well as JCK Magazine and JCKOnline. Weinrich worked at the American Gem Society more than 20 years ago, then at MJSA as vice president of business development. Twelve years ago, Weinrich joined Reed Exhibitions and JCK.
In 2017, Facets of Hope will be held on Wednesday, June 7 due to the change in trade show dates to accommodate the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
The dinner will be at the Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino in the South Seas Ballroom. Cocktails will commence at 6 p.m. with dinner and the night’s presentations at 7:30 p.m.
