JFC to Auction Diamond Painting at Facets of Hope
Artist Reena Ahluwalia donated the painting, which took 500 hours to complete, to the annual jewelry charity event.
Las Vegas--If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Reena Ahluwalia diamond painting, now is the perfect time to make it happen.
The artist is donating one of her signature works to Jewelers for Children, as well as two limited-edition prints, to be auctioned off at the organization’s Facets of Hope jewelry charity event, happening this Sunday.
Marking the 20th anniversary of Jewelers for Children, the money raised from the auction will go to toward helping the children that JFC supports through its partner organizations.
Ahluwalia’s original painting, called “The Portrait of Perfection,” stands 5 feet tall and took 500 hours to complete.
It will be on display during the Facets of Hope cocktail reception, beginning at 6 p.m.
“Reena has become such a big supporter of Jewelers for Children,” said JFC Executive Director David Rocha. “Her paintings are so popular with our audiences and there is much anticipation about which of her amazing pieces will be available. Her support has helped us reach our fundraising goals and meet our mission to help children in need.”
Those interested in placing a reserve bid on Ahluwalia’s artwork before the Facets of Hope gala should contact JFC at info@jewelersforchildren.org.
Jeffrey Cohen of Citizen Watch America and Bill Luth of Signet Jewelers Ltd. are the honorees at the jewelry event this year.
Singer Calum Scott will perform at the gala after-party, which is sponsored by Bulova.
