Kering Names New CEO for Pomellato Group
Kering has appointed luxury industry veteran Sabina Belli as CEO of the Pomellato group, consisting of Italian luxury jewelry brands Pomellato and Dodo.
Paris--Kering has appointed luxury industry veteran Sabina Belli as CEO of the Pomellato group, consisting of Italian luxury jewelry brands Pomellato and Dodo, effective immediately.
She takes over for Andrea Morante, who will leave the company by the end of the year, as planned since Pomellato’s acquisition by the luxury good conglomerate in 2013. Belli will report to Albert Bensoussan, CEO of Kering’s Luxury - Watches & Jewelry division.
In her new role, Belli will be responsible for the support of Pomellato and Dodo’s development as well as strengthening their positioning worldwide.
Belli joined Kering in April as general manager of the Pomellato brand. She has years of experience in the luxury sector and the development of high-end products, serving as the brand executive vice president at Bulgari just prior to joining Kering.
She also has worked as the international brand manager for Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, the image and marketing director for LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and the international brand director for Christian Dior Parfums.
Kering, known at the time as PPR, acquired a majority stake in Pomellato in April 2013. A little over a year later, the company reorganized to give fine jewelry and watches its own division as Kering continued its emphasis on high-end brands.
In addition to Pomellato and Dodo, brands that are part of this division are Boucheron, Girard-Perregaux, JeanRichard, Qeelin and Ulysse Nardin.
