Just Perfect Awarded 2 Patents for ‘Perfect Fit’ Technology
The design sculpts a ring’s shoulders and shank so it doesn’t spin or fall to the side.
New York—Manufacturer Just Perfect received two patents in the U.S. for its Perfect Fit technology, designed to prevent rings from moving and slipping on the finger.
The technology, covered by U.S. patent numbers D820-714S and D814-330S, shapes a ring’s shoulders and shank so it doesn’t spin or fall to the side. It also places additional metal weight in the bottom of the shank to make sure the center stone stays on top of the finger.
Perfect Fit technology is available across the company’s entire ring offering of engagement rings, wedding bands, three-stone styles, anniversary rings and fashion stack rings, in platinum, 18-karat or 14-karat white, yellow or rose gold. All engagement rings in the line are sold as semi-mounts.
Just Perfect also allows retailers to customize with five diamond qualities and various colored gemstone options—ruby, emerald, sapphires in different colors, blue topaz, citrine and garnet—and engraving.
Rings using Perfect Fit technology are available starting at approximately $200 wholesale for the mounting and go up from there.
The company said in a press release that it believes its “timely” innovation will help retailers provide consumers with a ring that meets both their size and comfort requirements.
“As today’s rings get heavier on top, women are faced with the dilemma of having their engagement diamond or ring ‘focal point’ fall to the side, or alternatively having the rings sized to fit tightly in order to prevent this from occurring,” Just Perfect President Edward Zylka said. “Both situations are uncomfortable. Therefore, we developed Perfect Fit to combat this.”
