JBT President Richard Weisenfeld to Retire
Current Vice President of IT Erich Jacobs is his successor.
Warwick, R.I.—Richard Weisenfeld, president of the Jewelers Board of Trade, has announced his retirement, effective Aug. 31.
Erich Jacobs, JBT’s vice president of IT, will succeed Weisenfeld in the role.
The JBT officially confirmed Weisenfeld as president in early 2018, though he had been serving in the role since October of the year prior, when Anthony Capuano announced he would be out on medical leave.
Jacobs joined the JBT in 2018 and currently has responsibility for all aspects of IT and collection operations.
He received his bachelor’s degree in economics and his master’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin.
His background in technology and business is of great importance to JBT, said chairman of the board Michael Kaplan.
